The goal of the National Brownfields Training Conference is to provide a networking and learning environment for the Brownfields community. We are working to ensure that the venue and travel arrangements will be as safe and healthy as possible so conference attendees can continue to experience the valuable in-person education and networking opportunities that have defined the Brownfields Conference since 1996. Due to the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and having these considerations in mind, Brownfields 2021 will be rescheduled from its current April dates.
Brownfields 2021 will now be held in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma from September 27-30, 2021.
We are committed to providing attendees with the safest and most engaging event possible, while also considering the evolving restrictions on gatherings and travel. EPA and ICMA agree that the new September dates will allow for a more robust event in Oklahoma City, especially with regards to educational sessions and networking events.
With respect for the new dates, Brownfields 2021 will have a second Call for Ideas, to be announced shortly. All Call for Ideas submissions from the first round will carry over. If you already submitted your idea, you do not need to re-submit. However, all submitters from the first round are free to submit again in the second round if they had another great idea for a Brownfields 2021 session.
The new dates will not hamper the fantastic work of the local planning committee, which has been tirelessly preparing Brownfields 2021 mobile workshops, networking events, local educational content, partnerships, and more. All of the work done by the local planning committee will continue for the new dates.
We look forward to seeing you in Oklahoma City from September 27-30, 2021!
